The Northern California GTO Club was established in July 1983 with eight members attending the first meeting. There are over 100 members currently and we're still growing! The GTO Club is a non-profit tax exempt corporation with officers that are elected every year.
Membership is open to persons that are 18 years and older that are interested in the preservation and restoration of the Pontiac GTO. Ownership of a GTO is not a requirement but attendance at two meetings is required before being voted upon for admission to the club. There is a $20.00 application fee and annual dues of $35.00. A newsletter only membership with annual dues of $20.00 is also available. Monthly meetings are held on the first Saturday of every month where upcoming events are discussed and GTO technical information is shared.
The GTO Club produces a monthly newsletter that is distributed to its members and sponsors. Also available to its members are club shirts, jackets, and caps that include the Northern California GTO Club logo. Discounts at various automotive dealers are also available to members.
Members participate in various car related activities such as car shows, parades, and cruise/graffiti nights. Annually, members caravan to two major GTO events on the West Coast. One is held in Bend, Oregon during Memorial Day weekend and the other in Long Beach, California during the Labor Day weekend. Some other family events include trips to the Wine Country, Gold Country and Apple Hill. The GTO Club also makes its GTOs available for charitable events, grand openings, weddings, and homecomings. Annually the GTO Club puts on a picnic in the summer and a holiday party in the winter for its members.
